Justice in Action: The Work, The Wins, The Way Forward

This is the time of year for reflection and uplifting. Here, at MCJ, we have a lot to reflect on for 2025. Earlier this year, we were labeled a "radical advocacy group" by the White House. It was not for extremism, but for fighting for racial and economic justice in Mississippi. The attack threatened $1.8 million in federal funding, nearly 27% of our budget. Still, we did not back down. Our team met political hostility with courage, and our supporters stood firm.

Our end-of-year giving campaign is underway, and we hope that you will help us continue this fight. Each week throughout this campaign, we will share a story of impact (see video link below) that illustrates MCJ's advocacy and policy work in action. These are real Mississippians whose lives have been changed because donors like you make this fight possible. Your support drives every victory and breaks down systemic barriers.

The work continues. Every day we are fighting unlawful evictions, protecting Black farmworkers, preserving family land, and ensuring every Mississippian has a voice in our democracy. We need you to continue this work. The challenges are real: voter suppression, unequal access to housing, education, and healthcare. Yet every day, we see what's possible when people come together to demand something better.

Your gift today powers the fight for justice in Mississippi. When federal funding is threatened, grassroots support becomes our lifeline. When political attacks try to silence our work, your donation says: Not in Mississippi, not on our watch.

We invite you to join this critical fight by investing in justice to build the way forward. We refuse to let fear, division, or systemic barriers define Mississippi's future.

Let's fight TOGETHER to WIN!
