An immersive journey through Mississippi, where civil rights legends took a stand and history was made.
Mississippi is a land both hallowed and haunted.
It was here that civil rights heroes like Medgar Evers and Fannie Lou Hamer fought for equality. It was here where Emmett Till was brutally murdered, leading his mother to tell a story that forced the world to listen. And it was here, in Mississippi, where the despair and hope of an enslaved people were voiced in what became the blues, America’s only original music.
The Mississippi Center for Justice invites you to experience this rich, dark, and critical American history where it happened.
